Bare Grill Cafe has brought their famous burgers to Bourke Street Surry Hills with the launch of their second establishment on Thursday 29 September 2016.
The first Bare Grill Cafe opened two years ago at 1599 Anzac Parade La Perouse. Since then their popularity has grown, especially through their burgers that appear regularly on instagram and get regular shout outs from the Fatties Burger Appreciation Society.
Their burgers range in price from $10 to $45 and either have ingredients such as: a beef patty, American cheddar cheese, caramelised onions, lettuce, bacon, bare sauce on a milk bun; or southern fried chicken fillets, bacon, liquid cheese, guacamole, coleslaw, lettuce, big bare sauce on a milk bun.
They also have ‘The Herbivore’ burger ($13) for the vegetarians which is made with bbq fried mushrooms, American cheddar cheese, caramelised onions, lettuce, tomato, aioli mayo on a milk bun.
Another variant is the ‘Philly Cheese Steak’ burger ($13) which is made from shredded flank steak, caramelised onions, American cheddar cheese, capsicum, mushroom, bare sauce on a milk hot dog roll.
The $45 dollar burger is called the ‘Death by Burger Challenge’ and is made with 10 beef patties, 10 slices of American cheddar, 10 bacon rashes, bare sauce and a milk bun. Whoever orders this is to seek out the wait staff for terms and conditions!
However, the menu is not all burgers and has a range of options such as: salads (coleslaw, Greek salad, garden salad, Caesar salad, and lamb and watermelon salad); steaks (scotch fillet, New York steak, rump steak, and tomahawk steak); sides (mash potato, season vegetables, garden salad, sweet potato wedges, fries, epic fries, epic mac and cheese, southern fried devil wings, onion wings, and garlic bread); pork and beef short ribs; Southern fried chicken; and desserts.
Bare Grills is located at Shop 15, 417 Bourke Street Surry Hills and is open seven days a week from 11am to midnight.
