UE Boom By Ultimate Ears is the summer accessory to share the Sounds of Summer with your friends. It is Australia’s biggest-selling wireless Bluetooth speaker. It has a 15 hour battery life, is water and stain resistant and comes in a range of colours. You can play music from two bluetooth enabled devices at the same time, wirelessly connect two UE BOOMs together in stereo via the UE BOOM app to instantly spread the sound and volume, or take phone calls from up to 50 metres away!
On 7 December 2014, UE Boom launched the Sounds of Summer by hosting two free live events at The Bucket List in Bondi and Komune Beach Club in the Gold Coast. Music was broadcast live between the bars and sponsored by NOVA 96.9 and 90.9 Sea FM. Celebrity guests, bloggers and party peeps at both venues experienced the unique opportunity to celebrate the beachside summer vibes to all live acts.
In Bondi, MC Faustina Agolley (aka Fuzzy) cranked the UE BOOM to the all Australian live line up which included Mis Joelle, Lime Cordiale, Thief, Justice Crew and What About Tonight.
Social media sensation, Kurt Coleman, flew in to Sydney for the day from the Gold Coast to attend the event. At the age of 17, he has more followers on Facebook and Instagram than most bloggers could dream of. While everyone was drinking alcohol in the VIP area, he drank coke and informed everyone that he was only a month or two away from drinking alcohol. He was very pleasant, posing for photographs and sharing his story of how he was expelled from high school when he became popular on social media.
UE Booms were given away at both venues. Party peeps entered the competition to win one by uploading a photo on Instagram, hashtagging #makemusicsocial and tagging the corresponding venue.
