Bel & Brio launched their 800 square metre European style emporium at one of The Street’s of Barangaroo’s premier sites on Wednesday 12 October 2016.
The venue, which is open from breakfast to late into the evening, offers Sydney-siders great quality dining, wine, takeaway and shopping to suit their needs.
Bel & Brio has a strong team working across food and drink including: executive chefs Andrea Assenza, a Sicilian-born chef with extensive experience in creating accessible European menus in restaurants in Europe and Asia; Vanessa Martin, formerly head chef and owner of hatted Italian Il Piave; Jon Osbeiston, one of Australia’s most respected wine experts and wine retailers who ran Australia’s independent wine retailer Ultimo Wine Centre; mixologist James Snelgrove, who has spent 12 years working in bars including Bentley Restaurant + Bar, Ms G and Button; and coffee experts Alessandro and Gianni Panetta who ran Baker Bros coffee in the Sydney CBD.
This team put together a canapé menu for the launch which included: confit tomato and basil crostini; seared yellow fin tuna and mango salsa; crispy calamari with paprika mayo; and pork belly with caramelized onions. For dessert they served mini cream puff in three different flavours and a selection of mini cannoli.
There also had two generous stations filled with homemade bread, a selection of cheeses, along with different kinds of olives, mustards, jams, truffle honey, and a selection of cold meats freshly sliced.
For drinks, they served Moorooduc Estate Devil Bent Creek Pinot Noir 2015; Quealy Pinot Gris 2015; N/V Bottega Prosecco DOC; Bel & Brio Negroni (gin, Amaro Montengro and Campari); and Parsley Sage Champagne Spritz (vodka, malic, cold pressed apple, parsley and sage).
