A quintessential balmy Sydney summer evening was the perfect setting for the launch of Beer DeLuxe King Street Wharf on Wednesday 24 February 2016.
As the name suggests the venue is run by people who are passionate about craft beer. The place has an ever-changing line up of international craft beers on rotation through the taps and their fridges are stocked with more than 150 varieties of bottled beer.
However, despite the beer focus, it’s clear you’re welcome to drink anything at this harbour hot-spot.
The seemingly endless flow of canapes kept guests including Jade and Yasmin Tuncdoruk, Aisha Jade and Travis Lunardi content, while brewers from 4 Pines, Young Henry’s, Murrays Craft Brewing and Akasha Brewing helped lift the amount of beer consumption for the evening.
Menu items included house smoked New Zealand king salmon with dill pickle chips, pulled lamb sliders with pickled cucumber and spiced yogurt, chicken wontons with shallots and black vinegar sauce, pork belly with lime caramel, Cape Grim mini cheese burgers, lemon myrtle squid with wasabi dressing, and chicken and goats cheese sausage rolls with beetroot and fig chutney.
With a cocktail in hand and water views over Darling Harbour, you would have been hard-pressed to find a better spot to enjoy the gorgeous weather.
