Australia’s leading furniture supplier, Living Edge, celebrated the launch of their new state-of-the-art 1900m2 showroom at The Woolstores, Alexandria on Tuesday 10 February 2015 with high profile international and domestic guests in attendance.
The lavish event celebrated the unveiling of Living Edge’s new showroom and the brand’s extension to further servicing the needs of work environments, hospitality venues, educational facilities and the home.
Speeches were made by Herman Miller CEO, Brian Walker, and Living Edge Director, Aidan Mawhinney, who ushered in the new era of Living Edge, thanking the industry for their continued support of Living Edge and the international stable of highly coveted brands.
The new showroom demonstrates Living Edge’s traditional focus on high quality and authentic design with premium furniture sourced from established and emerging design houses across the globe.
The pods on display featured designs from Herman Miller, Walter Knoll, e15, La Chance, BassamFellows, Muuto, Established & Sons and Stellar Works and lighting from Lasvit, Louis Poulsen, Rich Brilliant Willing and Buster + Punch & more, with some pieces seen for the first time on Australian shores.
Guests not only experienced the delight of viewing displays of beautiful contemporary furniture, light installations and accessories, but also experienced an epicurean feast that matched the high quality of Living Edge.
Catering was provided by the superb Pearl catering with wine makers from Bress, Gundog Estate and Hart & Hunter on hand to take guests on a journey through eight hand-selected wines, while they soaked in the impressive store fitout by Woods Bagot.
Living Edge is the largest and exclusive Australian supplier of most of its stable of luxury brands. To celebrate this relationship, guests in attendance included high profile representatives from Living Edge’s pedigree of brands including Brian Walker CEO of Herman Miller (USA), Markus Benz CEO of Walter Knoll (Germany), Philipp Mainzer Founder of E15 (Germany) and Jean Baptiste Souletie Founder of La Chance (France).
The leading members of the interior design media were also in attendance including Vogue Living Editor-in-Chief Neale Whittaker, and editors and contributors from Better Homes and Gardens, Home, Belle and Inside Out.
